Your child should be able to tell time to the quarter-hour and
sequence a series of daily events by time (e.g., breakfast at 7:00
a.m., school begins at 9:00 a.m, school ends at 3:00 p.m.) by the
end of second grade. This can be practiced at home easily by
asking your child to read an analog clock throughout the day and
setting up a schedule. Time is an abstract concept and can be
tricky, but with a little patience and a lot of practice this can be
mastered.
